Reflecting on Your Year: 5 Questions for Expat and Globally Women

As December is here and the year comes to a close, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the experiences, challenges, and achievements that shaped your time abroad. Whether you’re an expat woman or a woman living in a foreign land, this year has undoubtedly been filled with unique moments and personal growth.

To help you in your year-end reflection, here are five thought-provoking questions to ask yourself:

  1.  What were the most significant moments or achievements that made this year special for you?
  2. How have you adapted to new cultures, languages, or customs, and what have you learned about yourself?
  3. Have you built meaningful connections and friendships in your new community, and how have they enriched your life?
  4. What challenges did you face, and how did you overcome them? What valuable lessons did you learn along the way?
  5. What goals or dreams do you have for the upcoming year, and how can your past experiences inform your future aspirations?

Take some time to ponder these questions, and journal your responses. It’s a great way to gain insight and perspective as you prepare for the adventures and opportunities the new year will bring.

Thank you for being part of this community. I’m excited to continue sharing stories, resources, and support for your journey to create a fulfilling career or business around your international life.

Wishing you a reflective and empowering end of the year!
