A Roadmap To A New Start In September

I’ve been looking at my business recently and thinking about what I can change or improve.

September is almost here, and it is a good time to start fresh, to finally start looking for your dream job or launch your business.

However this time I want to transform my business by following my own insights and do not end up in the urgency or overwhelm.

If you feel lost, confused, frustrated and tired of following what others are saying you to do, you want to reconnect with your own energy, wisdom or vision, and create a business or a career which is in alignment with you here are my own observations for you.

1. Slow down. If you feel overwhelmed by all the information about how to change your career or grow your business, my advice to you is to slow down.

Maybe you feel already energised after your holiday break, if not take some time off, put yourself out of your habitual environment.

Switch off from all the social media for a few days. Your thinking will slow down and you will get a new perspective on your professional life.

2. Think about what you have achieved. What goals have you achieved so far in your business and career? Appreciate your achievements and what you’ve got so far. Think where were you at the beginning of this year and where are you now. What has worked for you so far?

3. Create a vision for the next 4 months. How do you want the next 4 months to look like? You can practise visualisation here or write down your own vision. How do you want your business/career to look like? What do you want to achieve by the end of this year? Listen to your own voice. What is your own wisdom saying you? Maybe you want finally start to work with a mentor, work on a new program for your clients or get a promotion? Write it down.

4. Create your own personalised strategy. Whether you are thinking about mapping out an action plan to reach your goals or craft a marketing plan ask yourself: Is this step/action in alignment with what I want, my life vision, my values, my business or a career vision? Is this feel right to me? You can take some time to reflect on your actions or ask for support if needed.

5. Stop questioning yourself and getting into asking yourself „why isn’t working for me, why not me or why this is happening to me …” Instead, take inspired actions. By inspired actions, I mean asking yourself How you can be of service every day? How can you serve your clients so they can get results? How can you make an impact through your career?

Those are my observations and they helped me to slow down, have a fresh look at my business, and stop acting from urgency. They helped me to create more fun in my business and follow my own personalised growth plan.

My task for you is to choose one of the steps above and implement it this week and share your outcome in the comments below.
