How To Build Your Credible Personal Brand

When I started my coaching business I thought that having a website was the most important step to creating my marketing strategy. I didn’t even think about how to build my brand. I wrote down the information I wanted to put on my website, chose the colours and the logo and started to attend some networking events.

I am not sure if I started with the right step but I took actions and this is the most important thing when you are building your business.

Your brand is not only your website, colours or your logo! It is an important part of your business to have online visibility. However, your personal brand includes many different aspects of your own personality, your offer/message, your communication style, clarity about who are your clients.

Whatever you are looking to build your business or find a new career direction having a credible personal brand will help you to differentiate yourself from others.

The good news is that we are all unique, we have different personalities and skills.

In today’s post, you will explore 3 steps to start building your credible personal brand.

  1. What are your values?

Your brand is based on your personal and professional values. You communicate your values through your marketing plan, your offers, website, social media, CV…

How clear are you about your values? What is important to you in your life and career?

I personally value freedom, flexibility and variety. And my coaching business and my life vision are based on those values.

If you are looking for a new job think if your own professional values are matching those of the company you want to work for.

Before even starting your new adventure, think about your new career or business vision.

Ask yourself: How do you want your life to look like? What is your vision? Write it down.

Your unique brand is all about you and people are curious about your life.

You are inspiring people, potential clients with your life.

  1. What is your own story?

You don’t have to overcome a big drama in your life to share your story and inspire others.

Take a look at my story. I decided to change my career path and I wanted to combine this experience with my international life and professional knowledge. And I am attracting people who are living an international life and they want to change their career path.

Think about: What is your story? What is your personal experience? What obstacles, challenges did you overcome in your life? Maybe you even didn’t realise. Share your experience with your potential clients.

If you are looking for a new job: What is your professional story? How did you help your organisation to overcome challenges, improve the business?

Just start writing your story with your own words. Remember it is all about you. Then you can ask for help a professional copywriter, LinkedIn profile expert to improve it, change it.

Your first steps to building your brands are:

  1. Getting clear about your values
  2. Creating your life vision
  3. Writing down your story

Are you done with your 9 to 5 job and you are looking for your next career step?

Are you looking for your own business idea?

If yes I would love to help.
