When I first enrolled in a coaching programme and was thinking about creating my coaching practice I was full of enthusiasm and energy to take action. Later on, I discovered that there was a lot to learn and improve, especially when it comes to getting visible and marketing and that building a business was a challenging path.
However, there was one thing I was clear about since the beginning of my business journey. I wanted to help people to work at what they love, and help them to create a fulfilling career. And I wanted to work with international people. I knew what my core message was and what I was about and I think this key element, being clear on my message, helped me to slowly take action to work on my business and improve my business knowledge. I have questioned many things, many decisions, and many ideas when it comes to my business, but the clarity about what I want to do kept me moving.
This clarity about your message, your passions and what you want to offer to your potential clients is the main factor that will help you to be in flow in your business and you will take effortless actions. When you have this clarity it will be easier to find your potential clients, build your website or attend a networking event.
Ask yourself:
- What is my message to my potential clients?
- What am I about?
- How clear am I about my message? What do I want to help my clients, and people with?
And if you are struggling with answering those questions here are some clues to help you with that:
- What challenges have you overcome in the past? It doesn’t have to be drama! For example, I overcome the challenges of living and working aboard, changing my career, and starting my business… What about you?
- What is your background? What is your professional experience? My background is in psychology, career counselling, and customer service sales. What is yours?
- What would you rather be doing? I remember sitting in an office and dreaming about my next vacation, my next trip to somewhere sunny. What about you?
Think about those questions and start connecting the dots and clarifying your message.
Once you get clarity about your message you can express it in your programmes, products, offers, lifestyle and marketing. And you will draw your clients through your message.
