10 Effective And Simple Ways To Increase Your Motivation

We are all different and we are motivated by different things in our life. Our motivation and motivational levels can change over time. The ownership of the goal has an impact on our commitment and also if the goal, the challenge is in alignment with our values.

Some people are motivated by away motivation, away from pain and some towards change (pleasure).

Today we are going to explore effective and simple ways to increase your motivation.

First of all, think about what are your motivational challenges right now?

And on the scale, 1-10 (10 is the highest) how motivated are you to overcome those challenges? This will help you to get clear about your situation and choose the best steps to be motivated on your journey.

Why motivate?

The right level of motivation helps you to overcome ambivalence about your choices, steps and decisions. You need the motivation to change something in your personal or professional life, go out of your comfort zone, take actions and reach your goals.

Change can be positive or negative. It can cause an increase in motivation, because we are excited about something, changing job, losing weight, moving to a new city or country. We can experience an increase or decrease in motivation at different stages of our journey.

When we are motivated we are inspired and excited, and we cannot wait to do something.

How can you increase your motivation?

Here are some simple things you can do to feel motivated.

1. Create Vision Boards. It is a simple and powerful tool to create a visualisation of your goals. It is an image of the future you and what would you like your life to look like. Go and find pictures representing your goals, feelings, things you want to do and put them on your board.

2. One step a day approach. Take small steps each day to reach your goal or overcome your challenges. Document your steps so you can measure your progress and celebrate your even small successes. Good work is created one small step a time.
